We hope to see you there!  Santa is Coming!!
Director Janice Larade with Guest Speaker Kelly Jones.
Kelly came in to share her story with us.  Her personal experiences gave us insight into struggles people are experiencing today.
The smiles show the friendship that these ladies have created with their experiences through YWCA, Circles, and Bridges Out of Poverty.  Kelly is the Circles Muskoka Coordinator/Circles South Coach.

This is not a new program, but new to us; and one we feel we are now able as a community to actively support in this somewhat post-covid world.

             How it works is simple...

President Shirley Bullock accepting the LG Quarterly Award for the club from LG Martin Mann for getting the most points in the Division for meeting & exceeding the Governor and Lieutenant Governor’s goals. (Second time this year!)
Another successful event with Ted Barris!  The session started with a lovely homemade luncheon by the Ladies Auxiliary at the Royal Canadian Legion 232 - Huntsville.  If anyone left hungry, it would have been their own fault.
Post feast, Ted captivated the audience with a discussion on his new book Battle of the Atlantic: Gauntlet to Victory
Nothing less than engaging and passionate, Ted held the audience’s attention, while he took his listeners on a trip through Canada’s participation in the Battle of the Atlantic.
Upon conclusion, Ted signed books for those that desired. An educated audience left wanting to hear more.  If Kiwanis is able to recruit Ted for another session in the future, we will ensure everyone is aware.

100 Backpacks Stuffed!!

Can you imagine?!  One Sunday morning a bunch of people got together to prepare a few backpacks for the children of Muskoka that are in need.  Little did they know that at the end of the morning they would have 100 backpacks ready to go!  Amazing donations made by the folks shopping at Bracebridge and Huntsville Staples stores allowed these volunteers to gather several times to assemble backpacks.  Final tallies are pending!  Stay tuned!

Kiwanis 'School Supply Drive' program in concert with Staples is in full are our displays at the Staples Bracebridge and Staples Huntsville stores. We are trying to help students from JK to Grade 8 in over 20 schools and organizations, from Gravenhurst to Burks Falls ensure they have the tools they need to succeed....however we need YOUR HELP.
We are about to start filling back packs this week, but we need to encourage folks to consider making a monetary donation at either Staples store from now until mid-September so we can continue to fill those back packs with the much needed school supplies.... Remember the funds raised here - stay here, for the students right here.
