WE'RE BACK!

On Wednesday, July 26th & Thursday, July 27th, the Kiwanis Club of Huntsville Muskoka is teaming up again in support of our local Salvation Army Food Bank.
“We were so thankful for the tremendous support from the community and our grocers for our 2022 “Christmas in July” drive, so we are hopeful of your continuing support again to make this drive truly a 'Christmas in July' for so many local families!”

Here’s how it works...  Over these 2 days, we partner with Bullock’s Independent & Metro grocery stores and will be on site and there to collect your donations...
There will be in-store “Food Bank Specials” to assist you and we encourage you to consider helping us to help those less fortunate in our community.
SIMPLY LEAVE YOUR FOOD BANK DONATIONS WITH THE KIWANIANS AT THE TABLES POSITIONED OUTSIDE THE STORE EXIT DOORS, BETWEEN 8AM - 4PM THOSE 2 DAYS.

Dwight Market - Dinner Anywhere in the World Ticket Sales

Another great day around our wonderful neighbourhood.  So many booths set up with all kinds of goodies!

The winner of our Gift basket was Callum McIntyre and his grandmother - seen below receiving the basket from Kiwanian Rick Brooks.  It was filled from items found at the Dwight Market.  Congratulations!

Another successful event to engage kids in heathy habits... IRONKIDS Muskoka July 8th, 2023

Thank you to all you Ladies that came out tonight to our final Spring session of Line Dancing at Trinity United Church.
It was a hot one, but thanks to Judy Smith, we kept on stompin' and twirlin' until the night was over.
What a great way to exercise and be social!  Thank you again for supporting us and we look forward to seeing you in September.

Another great event at the Canada Summit Centre, with volunteers from the Town of Huntsville, The SportLab, the OPP, the Kiwanis Club of Huntsville Muskoka and the Rotary Club of North Muskoka.
So many children came out to have helmets and bicycles (and scooters) checked out.  They made their way through many obstacle courses where they learned about road safety, agility, speed control, etc.  So many smiling faces!  And a ton of excitement to get out and start the season safely on their wheels!!
Kiwanis Collects Pop Tabs for Wheelchairs!

President Shirley, Director Helen and President-elect Kathy show off the containers of pop tabs that have been collected for the Robert Hampson Tabs for Kids Fund.  The tabs are taken to a metal recycling depot that pays for the aluminum by the pound.  The money is deposited into the Robert Hampson Fund at Easter Seals and wheelchairs and other adaptive equipment are purchased for children.

Draw date is Sept 30, 2023!  Good luck everyone!
Once again Author Ted Barris captivated audiences with his discussion on the secret raid against the hydro-electric dams of Germany’s Ruhr River that took place almost 80 years ago to the day.  Ted educates us on the impact that Canadians had - often missed in many other recounts.  Always an exciting recount and we look forward to the next event!

This is not a new program, but new to us; and one we feel we are now able as a community to actively support in this somewhat post-covid world.

             How it works is simple...
