The Kiwanis Club of Huntsville Muskoka Volunteer Appreciation Scholarship is awarded annually to acknowledge the tangible impact our youth can have on our community by serving beyond themselves, providing ongoing and meaningful altruistic volunteerism.

Recipient: Patrick Ferrier
Patrick completed over 100 volunteer hours during the past four years, even through the covid pandemic, including washing dishes at summer camps, coaching soccer and serving on the leadership team of his church youth group.  Patrick also serves his school community as part of the Huntsville High School Leadership Council and this year walked with his family on the Coldest Night of the Year to raise funds for The Table Soup Foundation.
He has accepted an offer to study Political Science and History at the University of Ottawa and intends to continue his studies in Education or Law.
He plans to participate in a short-term mission trip in 2023.
